Tempest Fleet-Foot Empty
PostSubject: Tempest Fleet-Foot   Tempest Fleet-Foot I_icon_minitimeSat Jul 07, 2012 11:01 am

-Form for the descendants or children of Elemental spirits

Age:15

Gender: Female

Eye Color:Pale grey

Skin Color: Slightly tanned

Hair: Long, wavy black

Height: 5'7"

Physical Description: Her body is very lean, but fit. Her face is angular and well defined. She has slender hands with spidery fingers. She also has many scars on her arms and legs, the biggest is a long, thin one that flows from her middle upper arm to her wrist. That scar is very pale.

Personality: Stubborn, secretive, narrow minded, but very loyal. Once you prove yourself to her, her loyalty will never waver and she would likely sacrifice her life for yours. Unfortunately, getting her to fully trust you is next to impossible.

Mortal Parent: Quentin Fletcher

Legacy of(Earth, Air, Fire, Water, Spirit): Air

Realm of Origin: Paludem

Animal Companion(Optional): A crow

Talents: Hunting with a bow and arrow or dagger and battle strategy.

Weapon*: Longbow and bronze tipped arrows, bronze dagger

Flaws**: Proud, stubborn, constantly feels threatened.

Powers(Must relate to Elemental parent): Can summon large storms (Thunder, lightning, heavy rain, strong wind), but will pas out immediately afterward. Can summon up to five smaller storms (Slight wind, rain) before passing out. If she makes less than 5 smaller storms, she will simply be tired until the next day. Can control air frequently and easily without tiring.

Backstory***: Tempest was born to an arms merchant named Quentin Fletcher. Quentin specialized in bows and arrows, and taught Tempest to shoot when she was four. They were always on the road between Elf villages, as Quentin preferred to sell to Elves. He was a known Elf-friend. Tempest never inquired about her mother. That is, until her father died. When she was only six years old, she discovered that she was an Air Legacy. Her father did not know. One fateful morning, she had a heated argument with her father as they were hiking down a mountain between villages. She became so angry that she accidentally used her new found powers to dislodge some large rocks that immediately started an avalanche. Her father was killed almost immediately, and both of her legs and several of her ribs were broken. The Elves found her and, recognizing her father’s body, they saved Tempest from near death. When she came to and learned of her father’s death and her part in it, he did not mourn. She would always love and remember her father, but she honored him by doing exactly what he would have wanted her to do: Push through, move along. That day, “Move Along” became her life motto. She began to learn the Elven ways and trained as an Elf warrior. Not long after she came to live with the Elves, Tempest made friends with a young Elven girl, Lorelei. They hunted and trained together for six years until an unknown disease slowly took Lorelei’s life. Shocked by the loss of the only two people she had ever cared for, she dedicated herself to becoming the best warrior she could possibly be. She soon proved herself to be stronger, braver and more intelligent than what the Elves considered average human. Tempest gained no more friends, fearing that she would lose them like her father and Lorelei. However, not long Lorelei died strange crow made a habit of following Tempest until she agreed to keep him as a pet. She named the male crow Piper. When she was 14, she killed a werewolf single-handedly and gained both a scar down her arm and her warrior name, Fleet-Foot.

Roleplay Example***: “Curse that winged demon!” Tempest muttered as she arrived home to her wigwam only to find pots and pans, maps and drawings, clothes and animal skins and a large birdcage strewn across the floor. “PIPER!” Tempest screamed. A crow flew down from a nearby tree cawing arrogantly. “You can’t just destroy my house every time I leave for a few days! What’s going to happen if I spend a week out hunting?” Tempest’s grey eyes narrowed at the velvety black bird. “Once more, Piper. Once more, and I’ll never let you back in my wigwam again!”
A tall, curly-haired Elf leaned in the doorway. “I wondered when I’d get to hear what Piper did this time.” He grinned as the crow cocked its head to the side. “But you know that you could never bear to release him.” Tempest ran her fingers through her night-black hair. “Shut up, Ivan.” She muttered angrily. “What do you have for me?” she added wearily.“A letter from Finan telling you that you did an excellent job on the hunt and he hopes that you will join him on the next hunt.” Tempest glared at the Elf, who was grinning mischievously. “Do you ever deliver anything you haven’t read?” Ivan’s smile widened. “Do you ever deliver a friendly word?"
“You Arrogant—“ Tempest began, but Ivan was already gone, leaving a small piece of parchment at the door.

Any notes about your characters: She loves freedom and hates to be cornered or controlled.

What is the name of her Raven?
Why did her father prefer Elvin customers to humans or dwarfs?

The Crows name is Piper; he is male.
Her father preferred Elvin customers because they were more trustworthy and the human and dwarf customers tended to steal his products more often. They Elves were also more polite.

PostSubject: Beatrix the Chimaera   Tempest Fleet-Foot I_icon_minitimeWed Aug 01, 2012 12:08 pm

MONSTER FORM

I attached the basic Chimaera information for reference.

This is a link to her human picture:

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

This her original picture:

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Name: Beatrix

Age: 237, 22 in comparison to human years

Gender: Female

Eye Color: Gold. No matter what shape she takes, her eyes are always a shimmering, intelligent gold.

Hair: Red. When in other shapes, she is usually red as well (i.e. if she is a cat, she will be ginger, if she is a snake she will be a brownish red

Skin: tanned and baby soft

Height: 5’5”

Perntage: Mother: Lindl (Fox;desceased) Father: Claud (Fox; desceased)

Species: Chimaera

Physical description: (This describes only her human form) So thin and small she appears emaciated, but in reality is well fed and strong. She has a round face that looks friendly and adorable, unless she is angry. When she is angry her face reminds you of the devils. She has thick eyebrows and thin hands that seem to float along with her when she walks.

Personality: Very peaceful, shy and quiet. Yet she loves to ask questions and learn as much as she can about the world. She is friendly in a formal sort of manner, and often appears to be “off in her own world”. She is very observant. Very honest. Lies only when she has to, and usually evades the question if she feels she would have to lie. Is extremely tolerant, but she has a line, and once you cross that line….She will hate you ruthlessly forever, no exceptions.

Realm of origin: Sylvia

Talents: Sneaking around and generally being very, very quiet. She runs very fast. Draws and sings beautifully.

Weapon: None. It is too hard to carry a weapon when she is constantly changing shapes.

Flaws: Cannot read or write. Asks so many questions that she often nearly reveals what she is. She gets so distracted by newfound information that, in a fight she often receives the first blow. Loves peace too much she gives the persona of being a coward, and deals with pain very, very badly.

Powers: Beatrix can shape-shift into the following beings with ease: Fox (She was born as this creature), bear, deer, lizard, wolf, beetle, frog, snapping turtle, squirrel, wild rabbit, wild boar, alligator, bobcat, otter, badger, porcupine, bison, earthworm, cat, dog, human, elf, fly, dwarf, mouse, rat, chicken, horse, goat, sheep, cow, magpie, barn owl, sparrow, falcon, dolphin, trout, phoenix, dragon, gryphon, basilisk, giant, troll, mermaid, goblin, cedar tree, adder, black widow spider, jumping spider, mosquito, butterfly, scorpion, crab, bat, vulture, coral snake. She must return to her original form (a fox) at least once a week to remain healthy. If she doesn’t do that, she will slowly lose the shapes of other animals.

Backstory: Beatrix was born in the form of a red fox by the name of Gwen. She had two siblings, boys by the names of Winkle and Brent. Her father never knew his kits. Since she knew from birth what she really was, the first chance she got she told her mother, Lindl. Lindl immediately shunned her only she-kit in horror. Young “Gwen” knew this would happen, as it always does in the lives of Chimaeras. Following tradition, she set out to find her true Chimaera name. She searched for 49 years to find her true name, which can only be given to her by another Chimaera. She found an elderly Chimaera by the name of Silas who, following the Code of the Chimaeras, told her that her true name was Beatrix without hesitation. Free now to roam the world with a true name to be called by, she travelled as far as she could to learn as much as she could; the only place she hadn’t gone was Caligo, for fear of the mysterious creatures and evil Chimaeras who lurked there. Little worthy of note has happened since.

Role-playing example:A shimmering white blanket of snow covered the frozen ground, making it impossible not to be tracked. A young red fox cowered from the cold underneath a large holly bush. The fox, with fur the color of the autumn sunset, had been traveling for many days and nights to escape the cold, but to no avail. The fox shivered and pulled her tail closer to her body as she wished that she could become an animal with thicker fur. After an hour or so, she stood up and began to walk dutifully towards the rising sun. It was futile to try and cover her tracks, so she did not even attempt to. She knew she would attract the bigger, hungrier creatures that lurked in this forest, and her fears were soon confirmed. She heard a low, throaty growl from in front of her, and watched an emaciated badger lumber out of the snow-covered bushes. Badgers were not usually considered to be fierce carnivores, but when they were desperate they had a severe bite. The hungry creature continued to approach the near-defenseless fox with surprising speed. The she fox knew she could not run, the cost of the energy would be too much even if she did escape the badgers jaws. With a mighty shriek, the young red fox quickly morphed into a creature with beautiful brown and white feathers. The fox had become a falcon. The falcon pulled on it's wings and flew toward the sunrise, and she never looked back.

CODE OF CHIMAERAS:
1. When meeting a Chimaera who does not know it’s name, tell its name immediately.
2. Only mate with other Chimaeras, and mate for life. If your mate dies, do not get another. You must be at least 230 to mate, unless you have less than twelve shapes, in which case you must be 50.
3. Unless mates, Chimaeras must remain solitary.
4. Treat other Chimaeras with respect whether older or younger.
5. You may only attack another creature (Chimaeras included) for food or self defense.
6. Chimaeras will not be slaves to another species.
7. Do not speak of your Death Point.
8. You must revert to your original species at least once a week in order to remain healthy.
9. Reveal yourself to be a Chimaera to as few beings as possible. If you tell more than 30 people, you will have broken this rule.
10. When any of these rules are broken, the criminal Chimaera will be hunted down and captured without mercy. Each of their shapes will be stripped away until the Chimaera is an ordinary creature in its original form, and then released again. The process is extremely slow and painful.
11. The rules laid down will never change. If someone attempts to, they will die. New rules may be added, but only by the elder Chimaera (The oldest Chimaera in existence) and they must not contradict the original rules.

Information on Chimaeras:
Names: Each Chimaera has only one name. By this I mean that it will not have a last or middle name, only a first. Each Chimaera is the only Chimaera with its name (i.e. there will not be two Chimaeras named Larry)
Ages: Each Chimaera has the added lifespan of all of the creatures it can shift into.
Parents and Birth: When a Chimaera is born, it automatically knows that it is a Chimaera and is often abandoned by the parents. The powers are not hereditary. A Chimaera can be born as any creature, although they are often born human.
Socializing: Chimaeras are naturally solitary creatures, and due to many bad instances are forbidden to travel together unless mates. You have probably met many Chimaeras and not known it, for they often walk into towns and stay in hotels and such, although no-one knows where they find the money, for few have been known to get jobs under other species.
Shifting: Depending on the Chimaera, a Chimaera can have anywhere from three to a thousand different shapes to shift into. Some Chimaera shift mainly into plants, and many into only animals, but most have a little of both. None of their shapes can be inanimate. They will usually take a few of their original features into every shape they take.
How to Kill a Chimaera: Each Chimaera has only one weak spot, and that spot is unique to every Chimaera. It is forbidden to speak of your weak spot. It is referred to by Chimaeras as their “Death Point”.

She is 22 in human years, both mental and physical.
The physical description describes only her human form, since that is what she will use most of the time.
I put this information in the form.

Standard Character Form
-Form for Elves, Dwarves, and Humans

What she looks like. NOTE: She doesn't own a bow, and she is less scantily clad.....

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Name: Dulcie Celthrik

Age: 16

Gender: Female

Eye Color: Ice blue

Hair: Long, straight blonde

Skin Color: pale

Height: 5’4

Physical Description: A rather pointed face and mischievous eyes. She seems taller than she is because she is so slim. Very slender.

Personality: Very mischievous. Very impatient. She likes to be moving and doing things all of the time.

Type of Creature: Half Elf

Parentage:
• Mother: Brindle (Human; desceased)

• Father: Klyke (Elf; believed desceased)

Realm of Origin: Sylvia

Animal Companion(Optional): Onyx, her female black snake. Non-venomous.

Talents: She is good at persuading, thieving and trickery in general. She is best with her throwing knife.

Weapon*: Two bronze throwing daggers. Here is an image of one. They are identical: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Flaws**: Too confident in herself. Impatient. Enjoys toying with her enemies. Cannot read or write. She is terrified of spiders and of being caught in a lie.

Powers(Optional): None.

Backstory***: Dulcie was one of those “forbidden children”. Her father was from a small Elf clan that forbid it’s members to mate with other creatures. Her father, however, fell in love with a human woman and had a child with her. The clan found out and shunned the father, threatening to kill the woman and child. The man fled, but some of the more vengeful elves chased after him and his new family, and ended up killing the mother. That was last Klyke, the father, saw of his former clan. The clan has perished since, wiped out by sickness. Klyke raised his little girl until she was nine years old, until one day he went out hunting and never came back. She presumed him to be dead, but she found no proof of his death. He literally disappeared. She searched for him restlessly for many days, until she finally gave up. She spent weeks in an emaciated state, refusing to eat or sleep, refusing to act alive. She was just wallowing in her pain. She didn’t know if he was dead; maybe he had just left her. She knew the story of how her mother died. He could have realized how worthless she was. Either way, she was alone and terrified in a dangerous environment. She took her father’s old hunting knives and began travelling all over Sylvia. She never crossed Sylvia’s border. She robs the nearby village for food most of the time, and has only been caught once, by the baker. The baker pretends to hate her, but in reality the baker sometimes leaves bread in easy places for the poor starving girl. She will also sometimes rob rich travelers. She found her pet snake when she was 10. She was looking for edible berries and she found a snake. But the snake was very ignorant of her and didn’t seem to mind Dulcie’s company. Dulcie, eager for a friend, fetched a game sack and put the snake in it. The snake soon adjusted to being a pet and has never bitten Dulcie. She named the snake Onyx, for its black scales.

Roleplay Example***: Dulcie’s stomach rumbled. She was very hungry. She hadn’t gotten a slice of bread in days. Dulcie smiled mischievously. That would soon change. She leaped over an old wooden fence. She just had to make it to the bakery unnoticed and get some bread; easy. She had done it a hundred times; No, more! She stepped lightly through the butchers backyard. Two more houses down…Dulcie took a deep breath. Ah, the smell of fresh bread! The bakery was about to close; sunset was near. She neared the bakery shop. She leaned towards the window and peered in. Inside, there was a large display table with several different types of bread on it. The baker was putting them away. She could have sworn the baker looked right at her, but he just put the bread away. Then he filled up his box and went to fetch another from the back storage. Here was her chance. She quickly and carefully opened the window and pulled myself through. Dulcie grabbed two loaves of her favorite kinds of bread. She didn’t actually know what it was called, but she knew it to be “The grainy one with the seeds in it.” She wasted no time hoisting herself back through the window and running for her life.

Any notes about your characters: None.

Ooh...Good question....
She is afraid of...(I know this first one sounds cliche)...Spiders. And getting caught in a lie. But she always has a backup lie, so she doesn't believe that would happen.
I have added this to the original form.

Monster Form
-A form for Werewolves, Vampires, Abarimon, Nephilim, Giants, Mere-folk, and other dark creatures.

Here is her image. I had to upload it to my blog becauseI couldn't find another way to upload it.....
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

This is what she is wearing:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Given Name: By birth, she was called Pneuma, but as she grew older and earned her reputation as a Pooka, she began being called by nicknames such as Alecto, Slyfury, Bloodthought, Laufeia, Louhi, Aegleaca, Death-shifter and many more. However, she preferred to introduce herself to her victims as “Deyanira”.
When she awakens to find that she has no memory of her old life, she calls herself Ariadne, for no real reason other than the fact that she likes spiders.

True Name: Xiuhcotl. Her name is the symbol of destruction.

Age: She was 74 when she was put into an enchanted sleep, although she was unaware of her age. She was in the enchanted sleep for 459 years. When she awoke, she looked the same as she did when she was enchanted. Her mental age is about 14.

Gender: Female

Eye Color: Hazel, but it turns mostly green when she is excited

Hair: She has long, wavy, brown hair that is cut unevenly. When her hair is wet, it darkens greatly, but when it is dry it has a lighter, golden sort of effect.

Skin Color: Pale-ish. It is almost as if she used to be tan, but the tan has faded.

Height: 5’6”

Parentage:

Mother: A very weak Pooka, usually stealing food from whatever other weak pookas she can find. Her given name was Dorothy, but she often went by the name “Snitch”. She is likely still alive.

Father: A human that might once have been handsome, Gordon fell into alcoholism after he fell for the weak Pooka known as Snitch. Snitch left her child lying naked on Gordon’s doorstep on a December morn. Gordon was incapable of handling being abandoned by Snitch, and therefore was in no condition to take care of the child he dubbed as “Pneuma”. He often told Pneuma that her first breath had been his last, which was a bit of a joke to him since Pneuma means “breath”. Gordon hated the child for many reasons, the biggest being that she grew so slowly. Gordon died when his daughter was 34, but her body and her mind were the equivalent of a 9 year olds. He died under extremely mysterious circumstances, and many blamed Pneuma, who disappeared directly after the death, and seemed quite happy to do so.

Species: Pooka

Physical Description: Her human form is skinny, but in a solid sort of way. She has long, wavy, brown hair that is cut unevenly. She has small, quick hands that are always cold. Her eyes and nose are on the large side, but not significantly. She has sharp, intelligent eyes and expressive eyebrows.

Personality: In a word, Pooka. Before she was enchanted, she was the ultimate, true trickster. She is a torturer, thief, and tattletale, doing anything that gives her an advantage. She is extremely quick-witted and clever. She never had the “protective” mood swings most people get. Truly evil.
When she awoke from her enchanted slumber, she was so innocent it was almost sweet, but as her memory returns, so does her Pooka behavior and she will have more and more…evil…moments. At that point in her life, she basically has a split personality, and is very confused about it

Realm of Origin: Caligo, but she awakens in Sylvia

Talents: She is extremely clever, and an excellent liar. She is very cunning. She is naturally very good with weapons, making the most of her half human qualities. She loves throwing knives, and can use them to kill with such ease it’s almost unbelievable. She is good at persuasion and manipulation. She is also a very fast runner.

Weapon*: She used to carry several silver throwing knives (that she stole)in her sleeves and boots, but when she awakens from her enchanted slumber, she has no weapons.

Flaws**: Before she was enchanted, she was overconfident, and didn’t always catch her own mistakes because of that. Before and after she was enchanted, she was afraid of wolves, chimaeras, cats, oceans, and ravens. (Strangely, she loves Crows, but fears Ravens.)

Powers: She can shift into any animal, but she always has black or brown (brown because she is half human) hair/fur. She can also go into a chameleon-like state, rendering herself invisible. She usually occupies the shape of a Crow. She also has a bit of Fay magic, but it is weak. She can only use it for little things like moving objects and every once in a while bending one’s mind slightly.

Backstory***: Deyanira’s story starts with her mother. Her mother was a terribly weak pooka, and a pooka who enjoyed going around and playing with the minds of mortal men. She had the unfortunate fate to give birth only once, and to leave her child in the hands of the father. The father was a human, but a poor human who turned to alcohol every time he was unhappy. When the “girl of his dreams” left, he was terribly unhappy. When her baby appeared on his doorstep, he almost immediately became a drunkard. He named her Pneuma, claiming that her first breath had been his last. She was a pooka, but she was also half human, and so it might have been possible for her to have been an angelic creature, and used her human emotion to do good. But alas, she did not. Raised by a father who hated her, abandoned by a terrible mother, she lived in a tiny shack until she was 34. Since she is half pooka and can live hundreds of years, she was about the equivalent of a nine year old when her father died and she left to become the pooka she wanted to be. No one ever knew if she murdered her father, though most assume it to be so. She has never spoken of her family, and anyone who brings it up will immediately feel the wrath of a pooka’s claws. She lived the next 40 years of her life in chaos, creating her reputation as “The Cruelest Pooka that Ever Lived”. She loved to capture any and all kind of creatures and torture them until they either died or went insane. It usually didn’t take very long.
There was a witch that lived in Caligo, a witch that did good things like save people’s lives and protect the innocents…..Everything that Deyanira hated. But this witch was powerful; perhaps as powerful, perhaps not. But she set out to kill “The Cruelest Pooka that Ever Lived” in an attempt to save thousands of lives. Deyanira laughed as if it was all a game and went to the Witch first to declare a battle. The battle took approximately 34 days, and on the 34th day, Deyanira made a mistake. She glanced at one of the witch’s cats, and, because she feared cats so much, her brain, and the spell she was currently weaving got all muddled and she collapsed. The witch, who was close to being beaten, did not have enough power to kill Deyanira, so she put her in a near eternal sleep. She would sleep as long as the magic of the witch remained in her. When that magic ran out, she would wake. The witch died making that spell. Deyanira slept for 459 years, and in the 460th year she awoke. She looked exactly the same as she did when she was enchanted, she still had the mental age of a fourteen year old, but her life had been extended.
Luckily for the rest of the world, When Deyanira awoke, she couldn’t remember anything of her past life. She is no longer a cruel killer, but an innocent girl who seems to be 14 years old and very lost.

How does your character feel about being a monster? Regrets or is the life satisfying?***: Deyanira loved being a monster. She could be as evil and wild as she wanted to be, and since she is a monster, she wants to be that evil. She loved having power. She loved killing and torturing. She loves being able to shift and surprise people. She loves to shock her victims. When she awakens, she doesn’t know anything about herself, but as she starts to discover what she was, she becomes disgusted and terrified. One way that I would like to put it is that she could either be a pure demon or a pure angel, and she was a demon in the first part of her life. When she awakens, she has the chance to be an angelic creature.

Roleplay Example***: A young girl sluggishly blinked her eyes open. She flinched at the light that met her face. She sat up. Her long brown hair fell down around her shoulders and moved slightly in the breeze. The girl put a hand on her head. She felt stiff; so stiff……She glanced down at herself. She was wearing soft leather pants and a white cotton shirt with a leather tunic over top of it. She stretched her hand out in front of her an held it in the sunlight that cascaded down through the canopy. It was slim and covered in scars…As was her whole arm…..The girl frowned and stood up. She glanced around cautiously. I have been sleeping on the ground…She thought suddenly. She was surrounded by leafy green trees, and she guessed that it was early spring by the small clumps of ferns she saw. Dead leave still lay on the ground, just a memory of a harsh winter. The girl looked at her feet. Brown boots that laced nearly up to her knees fit snugly on her tiny feet. They looked worn, but not old. The girl frowned and looked up again. For the first time, a raspy voice flowed out of the young girl’s mouth. She waved her hands at the area as she spoke, confused.
