The Valley of Horses

Espip grins a little at Hanna's joke. 'Better watch out man, I'm totally jealous,' he says sarcastically as he extinguishes the fire, for he was right next to a wooden beam, and if that was to be set ablaze accidentally, the whole building would be up in flames within minutes.

Espio wasn't a master of understanding women, let alone other humans, but he could tell he had somehow hurt Hanna on the inside. Now he felt like a complete jerk. 'Hey, are you okay?' he asks her, keeping his voice sounding as if he was concerned. He had issues trying to express how he truly felt, but he was getting a bit better.

Espio lets out a small sigh. Hanna obviously didn't understand his question. He was going to rephrase it to her, but is interupted by Mary. Oh well. He leans against the beam and watches while many a couple dance to he music.

'Uh....yeah, I guess,' Espio mutters. He wasn't good with people and this was the first time someone actually asked him to take part in something. He felt kinda happy, but at the same time so awkward. He moves from the pole and over to the two. He had no idea what to do, so he just waited to be told to do something.

OOC: I thought they were already inside....

OOC- they had left the dance and were on their way to the tavern... woops...

Hold a sec I is having a moment of mentality

Espio walks back into the tavern with the other two. 'Sorry if I sound stupid, but why the festives?' he asks the two girls. If it was up to him, the town would be in mourning over the murders. He would've made a search party to find out what happened to the dead. He would have done something totally different than dancing.

So Hanna was wrong. The murders were over, well for now. 'I doubt you want to be reminded of them, but when was this Dante man murdered?' he asks Mary.

"Yeah...whatever it was," Espio ponders to himself, his voice just above a whisper. He sits himself down on a stool and leans against a large wooden beam that supported part of the roof of the building. Quite a large building it was. It was maybe seven times the size of the house he grew up in...

'Then what if this Dante fellow killed the murderer, then took to the hills? That would explain why there haven't been any since,' Espio tells the two girls. He looks around him to notice that there were not many people around. Just some drinking buddies and two men playing some sort of game at a table. He was sure the place was packed when he first arrived. Maybe they were all at the festival.

Hanna felt a bubble of hope, "I hope so."
"Unless he died from his wounds, there was an awfull lot of blood... along with ash."
"Ash?"
"Yah, you know vampires and undead and such."
Hanna looked at Espio, wide eyed.
